This design of cartridge box is named after the Brunswick and Hessian auxiliary troops who fought for the British Crown during the American War for Independence. This cartridge box design can be traced back to the late 18th century (1775-1783). Drawing its inspiration from the design and style of the "German" speaking soldiers who fought alongside the British during the American Revolution this cartridge box is made of fine cows leather. It features a double flip wood cartridge block that holds 46 cartridges (23 each side). The wood block has an attached canvas cover to protect your cartridges when not in use. This box can come either with an attached tool pouch on the front or without. The shoulder strap attaches via two small brass buckles located on the bottom of the box and is adjustable for smaller and larger frames. The shoulder strap is made of white to off-white buff cows leather. The front flap of the box is closed and secured via a small button attached to the bottom of the box.
